Preston man denies indecent image charges
A man is to face a trial over allegations he downloaded indecent images of children.
Jack William Lyon, of St. Margarets Close, Ingol, Preston, appeared before Preston Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing.
The 24-year-old defendant entered not guilty pleas to three counts of making indecent images of children.
It is alleged by the prosecution that between December 1, 2017 and August 15, 2018, Lyon made six images at category A - which is considered the most serious in law - with a further 22 pictures at category B and 125 at category C.
Judge Richard Gioserano set his trial date for November 22, 2021.
The viewing and making of indecent images causes real harm to real children. People found guilty of viewing sexual images of anyone under the age of 18 can be given a prison sentence and be placed on the Sex Offenders Register.
