Preston man arrested following recent thefts from vehicles

A 46-year-old man from Preston has been arrested today, April 12, in relation to recent thefts from vehicles in Walton-le-dale and Bamber Bridge.

Preston Police were appealing for information about recent thefts from vehicles in Bamber Bridge, Walton-le-Dale and Avenham yesterday, April 11.

Shots taken from doorbell video footage showed a man that police were eager to speak to in relation to the recent incidents.

Police took to social media, encouraging local people to get in touch with any information, pictures or CCTV footage that could help them with their investigations.

Following further enquiries, police have now confirmed that they have arrested a 46-year old man in relation to three vehicle thefts and attempted burglary.

A spokesperson said: "I can confirm that a 46-year-old male from Preston has now been arrested in relation to three thefts from vehicles and an attempted burglary at a residential property."
