Police search for missing 13-year-old girl

A 13-year-old girl has been reported missing from home in Lancashire and police say they are becoming increasingly worried for her welfare.

Hannah Derbyshire, from Haslingden, was last seen in the Highfield Park area of the Rossendale town at 2.30pm yesterday (December 15).

She is described as white, 5ft tall with long brown hair and was last seen wearing a black jacket with a fur hood, black leggings and grey trainers with a red Nike tick.

Officers tasked with finding Hannah say the teenager also has links to Rawtenstall and Bury.

PC Kerry Jervis, of East Police, said: "We are concerned for Hannah’s welfare who is clearly vulnerable because of her young age.

"I would ask anybody who has any information on her whereabouts to contact police straight away.

"I would also like to appeal to Hannah directly, if you are reading this, to make contact with your family or the police. We are all worried about you."
