Police issue appeal to find Preston scooter thieves

Preston Neighbourhood Police are appealing for information to help them trace two teenagers who pushed a motorist off his scooter before stealing it on March 3.

Police are still appealing for people to come forward with any information about the incident that occurred on the Woodplumpton Road junction of Banksfield, on March 3.

At approximately 8 pm, two teenagers thought to be around 16-years-old, pushed a man off his motor scooter before stealing it and heading towards the Lane Ends area of Preston.

The man sustained injuries as a result of the robbery.

Police are appealing for anyone who passed through the area or with dashcam footage of the incident to contact them.

A spokesperson said: "We're seeking for any information in relation to a robbery which occurred on 3rd March 2021 at approximately 2000hrs on Woodplumpton Road junction of Banksfield.

"Two teenagers described as being 15/16 years, both 6ft in height, dark clothing approached the victim on a motor scooter, pushing him off causing injury before stealing the scooter heading towards Lane Ends.

"If you have any information regarding this incident or were passing through the area and have dashcam footage covering the incident please contact either 101 or [email protected] quoting LC-20210303-1416"
