Police divers discover guns and knives after searching River Ribble in Preston
and live on Freeview channel 276
The underwater search team entered the river near the old Shawes Arms in London Road yesterday afternoon (September 7).
They explored the depths around London Road bridge for around two hours and resurfaced with a handful of weapons - two knives, an imitation handgun and two rusty rifles.

Hide AdOne of the guns, an old bolt action rifle, is believed to be a Karabiner 98 kurz - the standard service rifle used by German soldiers during World War II.
