The burnt-out car was discovered on the Eaves Brook footpath, near Brookfield Park in Holme Slack, yesterday afternoon (Thursday, December 31).

The abandoned vehicle has a Welsh registration plate and DVLA checks say it is still taxed and MOT'd until September.

The Peugeot, a 2008 model, has been completely gutted by the fire.
