Preston 'peeping Tom' arrested after man caught staring through people's windows at night
A 31-year-old has been arrested after households in Preston reported a man staring through their windows at night.
The man’s odd behaviour caused alarm and left people feeling unnerved after they caught him peeping into their homes in the Broadgate area of the city.
One woman, who lives in River Parade, grew increasingly concerned after he walked past her home seven times in 13 minutes one evening in February.

She alerted her neighbours on a local Facebook group and other residents came forward saying they too had caught him looking through their front windows.
He was also spotted acting suspiciously in other streets in the area, including Wolseley Road, Taylor Street and Beech Terrance.
Lancashire Police said an investigation was launched and a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stalking. He was released on bail with conditions, pending further enquiries.
A police spokesperson said: “We are aware of reports circulating on social media of a man acting suspiciously in the Wolseley Road area of Broadgate.
“We take these reports extremely seriously and since being made aware, we have carried out numerous enquiries.
