The birds went missing at some time between 6.45pm on Monday October 19, and 9am on Tuesday October 20 and it appears unlikely that the ducks were taken by a predator.

A spokesman for Fylde Police said: "We recognise the devastating impact that crime has on the rural community both financially and emotionally.
