Man with stab wound rushed to hospital following attack in Preston's Avenham Park

Police were called to reports of an assault near the Japanese Garden in Avenham Park shortly after 2pm today (June 17).
A man - believed to be in his 20s - was found with a suspected stab wound to his leg when emergency services arrived.
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.

Hide AdLancashire Police's tactical unit said a drone team, mounted police and dog patrols had been deployed to the area to search for two suspects.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "We were called around 2.05pm today (Wednesday, June 17) to a report of an assault in Avenham Park, Preston
"Emergency services attended with a man, believed to be in his 20s, suffering a suspected stab wound to his leg.
"The man has been taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment."

Hide AdDetectives have launched an investigation into the attack and enquiries are ongoing.
North West Ambulance Service were called to the scene at 2.01pm.
They sent an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and a senior clinician to scene, with one male taken to hospital.
