Man glassed in face during 'shocking and unprovoked attack' at Preston restaurant

A man was glassed in the face before being punched during an assault at the Pig and Whistle in Preston.

A man was attacked at the Pig and Whistle on Blackpool Road at around 11.55pm on January 18.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, was assaulted with a glass causing facial injuries, before being punched.

He was later taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.

The attacker made off from the scene before police arrived.

Following CCTV enquiries, detectives want to speak to a man in connection with the offence.

Det Con Adam Kelsall, of Preston CID, said: “This was a shocking and unprovoked attack which left the victim requiring hospital treatment.

“We are keen to speak to the man pictured and believe someone will know who he is.
