Man dies after Preston motorcycle crash

A man has died following a collision involving a motorcycle in Preston.

Police were called at about 7.10pm on Wednesday, May 6, after a Kawasaki motorbike failed to negotiate a bend between Bowland Road and the junction of Grizedale Crescent, Ribbleton and collided with the wall of a house.

The rider, Stephen Sergeant, 33, from Preston, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital but died on Friday.

Police have issued an appeal for information.

Sgt Phil Barber, of Lancashire Police’s Tac Ops, said: “These are very sad and tragic circumstances and my thoughts are with Mr Sergeant and his family at this difficult time.

"We are continuing to appeal for information following the collision and would urge anyone with information to come forward.

"If you saw what happened, or the manner in which the motorcycle was ridden prior to the incident, please contact us."
