Man charged with growing cannabis after police raid Lancs home with 100 plants

A man has been arrested after police raided a cannabis farm with nearly 100 plants in the Hyndburn district of Lancashire yesterday (Tuesday, March 9).

The 24-year-old Albanian was arrested at a home in Blackburn Road, Rishton after officers uncovered a "sophisticated cannabis cultivation setup" inside.

Police said nearly 100 plants found across both floors of the home have been seized and will be destroyed.

The man has now been charged and remanded for the offence of cannabis cultivation and will appear in court today (Wednesday, March 10).
