Man, 28, arrested on suspicion of money laundering after £10k in cash found in car on Knowles Way in Chorley

£10,000 in cash was found in the car.
A 28-year-old man from Manchester has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering after officers found approximately £10,000 of cash in the car (pictured here) on Knowles Way, Chorley.
Yesterday evening around 6.30pm officers from Lancs Road Crime Team were on patrol when they had reason to stop a VW Golf travelling on Knowles Way, Chorley.
The car and the driver were searched under section 23 of the misuse of drugs act.
Officers found approximately £10,000 of cash in the car (pictured here).
The driver, a 28 year old man from Manchester was arrested on suspicion of money laundering.
He is currently in custody.
