Luxury car stolen from driveway in Longridge

A manhunt has been launched after a luxury car was stolen from the driveway of a Longridge home.

The car was found abandoned on St Francis Close in Fulwood

Police say they were called by the owner of the car after she heard it revving on her drive on Higher Road at around 5.30am on Wednesday, September 27.

The BMW 3 Series was then reported to have made off.

Details of the car were passed on to patrols who spotted it at various points across Preston.

A spokesman for the police said: "We were contacted by the owner of the car after she heard it starting on the driveway of her car.

"The car was seen by patrols in various areas across Preston.

"The car was later found abandoned on St Francis Close in Fulwood.

"Dogs were used to search for the offender but at this point we are still trying to locate the person."
