Thomas Mawdsley, 38, who gave his address as Chevin Road, Milford, Belpher, Derby, did little or no work for his victims despite taking their money, and also made false claims to them.

He made a claim to one victim in Leyland that he had instructed an employee at Manchester Council to facilitate the connections of utilities to the address, and tricked him into paying £8,851.55 into his partner’s bank account.
