Careless driving fine

A MAN who failed to stop after his car clipped a driver reversing into his driveway has been fined £360.

Gerald Higham, 65, of Victoria Road, Walton-le-Dale, near Preston, was involved in an accident on Hoghton Lane, Preston Magistrates’ Court was told

He must pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting charges of failing to stop after an accident and driving without due care and attention.

PRESTON: Neil Christian Fletcher, 49, of Aughton Walk, Preston, admits stealing a man’s wallet, £30 cash, bus pass and tobacco and then trying to withdraw cash from someone else’s bank account.

He must pay £30 compensation to the victim, a £110 fine, a £20 surcharge and £85 costs, Preston Magistrates’ Court ruled.

CHORLEY: Adrian Moon, 25, of Grizedale Place, Chorley, was discharged for six months after admitting using violence to secure entry into a house in Chorley when he knew someone in there was opposed to his entry.

Chorley Magistrates’ Court ordered him to pay a £15 surcharge.

PRESTON: Robert Nightingale, 36, of Pope Lane, Ribbleton, Preston, admits a charge of possessing cocaine.

He was ordered to pay a £40 fine, £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs by Preston magistrates.

PRESTON: A man who admits damaging a woman’s car and television has had his sentencing deferred by a court.

Jack Murphy, 28, of Cedar Road, Ribbleton, will next appear before Preston magistrates on July 19.

However, he was warned he must not reoffend or miss any probation appointments in the meantime.

CHORLEY: A pensioner has been found guilty of driving without due care and attention after a hearing before Preston Magistrates’ Court.

Tom Taylor, 93, Broadwood, Lostock, Bolton, must pay a £230 fine, £23 surcharge and £200 costs after an incident in a Toyota Yaris on Chorley New Road, Chorley.

PRESTON: Adam Kunowski, 35, of no fixed abode, admits being disorderly and breaching the peace on Preston Market. He was fined £80 and was bound over in the sum of £250 for 12 months.

Anthony Speariett, 32, of Avenham Road, Preston, must have drug treatment and pay a £60 surcharge after admitting stealing an electric razor and four powerbanks.

Levi Wilson, 23, of Becksley Road, Preston, admits possessing cannabis and must pay an £80 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Andrew Brown, 35, of Fulwood Row, Preston, was banned for 12 months after admitting drink driving and must do 60 hours’ unpaid work and pay a £60 surcharge and £85 costs.

Dane Christer, 29, of Liverpool Old Road, Much Hoole, was banned for 24 months after admitting drink driving and must pay a £230 fine, £23 surcharge and £85 costs.

Robert Delve, 39, of Willowfield Road, Heysham, must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge and £85 costs after being found guilty of failing to give driver information.

Kyle McMurray, 20, of Croston Road, Lostock Hall, Preston, admits damaging a wing mirror and must pay a £100 fine, £50 compensation, a £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Shane Davies, 27, of Lime Grove, Lytham St Annes, admits using threatening or abusive behaviour in Preston and must pay an £80 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Paul Macnamara, 34, of Skipton Crescent, Ribbleton, Preston, was banned for 17 months after admitting drink driving and must pay a £275 fine, £25 surcharge and £85 costs.

Steven Irvine, 37, Dodgson Road, Preston, was bound over in the sum of £50 for six months after admitting breaching the peace.

Albert Hamill, 56, of Villiers Street, Preston, admits being drunk and disorderly and must pay an £80 fine, and £20 surcharge.
