Fine over land issue

STEPHEN Wayne Hough, 49, of Southgates, Charnock Richard, near Chorley, has been fined after breaching an enforcement notice, relating to land he owns at Church Lane in the village.

Chorley Borough Council said he had failed to remove motor vehicles, trailers, an outbuilding, car port, fence panels and greenhouse despite being given a notice.The town’s magistrates ruled he must pay a £40 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

CHORLEY: Kirsty Davis, 33, of Wordsworth Terrace, Chorley, has pleaded guilty to stealing £100 cash from a woman.She was given a rehabilitation activity requirement and a restraining order. Chorley Magistrates’ Court ruled she must also pay £100 compensation to her victim, an £85 victim surcharge and £150 costs.

CHORLEY: Simon Lever, 43, of Byron Crescent, Coppull, Chorley, was given six weeks in prison suspended for a year, after admitting sending a grossly offensive or abusive text message. The bench at Preston Magistrates’ Court also imposed a curfew with an £80 victim surcharge and costs of £40.

HOGHTON: Amy Louise Cowburn, 23, of Victoria Street, Nelson, will be sentenced at Preston Crown Court on March 15 after admitting entering a house in Hoghton as a trespasser and stealing various items including car keys.

PRESTON: Laurence Hammer, 41, of Fylde Road, Preston, admits stealing 11 packets of chicken and attempting to steal chocolate just two days after being convicted.He was given 28 days in prison suspended for 12 months with an £80 surcharge after the bench at Preston Magistrates’ Court ruled he was a prolific shoplifter.

CHORLEY: Ryan Worsley, 25, Wood Chat Court, Chorley, admits a charge of driving dangerously.He was banned for 15 months by the bench at Chorley Magistrates’ Court.He was also ordered to do 180 hours’ unpaid work and pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

LEYLAND: Levi Ingram, 25, of HMP Full Sutton, York, admits maliciously wounding a man and assaulting three police officers in the town and will be sentenced at Preston Crown Court on March 15.

Court snaps

Lori-Beth Boardman, 22, of Egerton Street, Farnworth, Bolton, admits assaulting a Chorley man and must pay £50 compensation, £150 costs and a £10 fine.

Andrew Lord, 52, of Halliwell Street, Chorley, was found guilty of breaching a drinking banning order and must pay a £60 fine and £20 surcharge.

Leonard Twells Fulton Campbell, 49, of Broadfield Drive, Leyland, is banned from the roads for 17 months after admitting drink driving and must pay a £365 fine, £37 surcharge and £85 costs.

Tomas Jarka, 26, of Herbert Street, Preston, admits being drunk and disorderly, and must pay a £240 fine, a £24 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Laura Morrison, 36, of Clara Street, Preston, was discharged for six months after admitting being drunk and disorderly, and must pay a £15 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Claire Tracy Lyons, 33, of Pall Mall, Chorley, admits twice stealing tools, and was given 56 days, suspended for 12 months, and a rehabilitation activity.

Colin Smith, 68, of Adelphi Street, Preston, was given a rehabilitation activity, after admitting stealing food and goods from ASDA.

Oliver Reddington, 20, of Whitefield Road, Penwortham, is banned for 17 months after admitting driving under the influence of drugs and must pay a £255 fine, £26 surcharge, and £85 costs.

John Ronak Singh, 64, of Blackpool Road, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, is banned from the roads for 17 months after admitting drink driving and must pay a £120 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Amanda Jones, 42, of Sion Brook Close, Ribbleton, was discharged for three years after admitting she stole items from Morrisons but must pay a £15 surcharge and £85 costs.
