Girl, five, was abused

A MAN has admitted sexual offences against a five year old girl in a case dating back nearly 10 years.

Alexander Holding , 23, of Marlborough Street, Chorley, entered guilty pleas to three sexual assaults on the first day of his trial at Preston Crown Court.

Defending, Lucy Crimmin said: “His pleas are entered on the basis he was 14 at the time.”

His sentencing was adjourned until July 21.

PRESTON: Stuart Lee Stansfield, 35, of HMP Preston, Ribbleton Lane, admits stealing spirits and £300 of drill tools in two separate theft cases.

The bench at Preston Magistrates’ Court jailed him for 18 weeks, ruling the offences were aggravated by his record.

He targeted Booths and B&Q in Preston, the court heard.

PRESTON: Alan Turner, 45, of HMP Durham, was jailed for six months after he admitted burgling a house on Black Bull Lane in Preston and stealing a pair of trainers worth £90.

It happened on April 17 this year.

The bench at Preston Magistrates’ Court also ordered him to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

PRESTON: Loran Atkinson, 28, of Stanifield Lane, Farington, Leyland, was given a rehabilitation requirement after admitting beating a man in Hogarth’s in Preston and must pay a £60 surcharge and £100 costs.

PRESTON: Andrew Matthew Warren, 29, of Eldercote Road, Bolton, admits a charge of being drunk and disorderly after an incident in Preston Railway Station on April 30.

He was discharged conditionally for six months by Preston Magistrates’ Court.

The bench also ordered him to pay a £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

PRESTON: A man who stole a car from a friend and caused wheel and bodywork damage has been given a curfew.

Vincent Kerrigan, 25, of Bracewell Road, Preston, was ordered to pay an £85 surcharge and £85 costs and he was banned from driving for 16 months.

Magistrates heard he collided with a kerb.

PRESTON: Lilley May Smith, 48, of Tulketh Road, Ashton-on-Ribble, was given 12 weeks’ jail, suspended for 12 months, after admitting stealing £10 from a man. He must compensate the man, and pay £85 costs.

Paul Seefus, 32, of Clifton Avenue, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, was found guilty of flouting a traffic light and must pay a £220 fine, £22 surcharge and £85 costs.

Jake Cook, 20, of Seven Stars Road, Leyland, admits assaulting two PCs and must pay them £25 compensation each.

Able Skip Hire on Centurion Industrial Estate, Farington, Leyland, was found guilty of failing to give driver information and must pay a £770 fine, £77 surcharge and £85 costs.

Benjamin Johnson, 33, of Ash Meadow, Lea, Preston, was banned for 40 months after being found guilty of drink driving and must pay a £280 fine, £28 surcharge and £85 costs.

Simon Grundy, 51, of Burgh Wood Way, Chorley, admits resisting a PC and must pay a £95 fine, £50 compensation, £30 surcharge and £85 costs.

Stuart Welch, 25, of Pear Tree Road, Croston, was banned for 12 months after admitting drink driving and must pay a £280 fine, £30 surcharge and £85 costs.

Francesca Ashton, 30, of Alder Close, Leyland, admits driving without due care and attention and must pay a £135 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Alan Neville, 52, of Mill Lane, Fulwood, Preston, was given a rehabilitation requirement after admitting stealing £90 of goods from Morrisons and must pay a £85 surcharge and £85 costs.

Liam Stuart Higham, 23, of St Stephen’s Road, Leyland, was discharged for six months after admitting being drunk and disorderly in Leyland in May.

Conner McBride, 21, of Birkdale Drive, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, admits using threatening behaviour and resisting a PC, and must pay a £75 fine and £30 surcharge.
