Science firm burglary

A BURGLAR who struck at Richmond Scientific on Edward Street, Chorley, in February is to be sentenced on April 26 at Preston Crown Court.

Sean Gaskell, 33, of Moor Road, Chorley, admits entering the premises as a trespasser and stealing van keys, a tablet and a bank card, and a further two counts of theft relating to him stealing £600 cash and a Citroen Relay van.

He entered guilty pleas before Chorley Magistrates’ Court.

PRESTON: A man who resisted arrest and was in possession of a knife is to be sentenced at Preston Crown Court

Martin Kenny, 26, of Taunton Street, Preston, will appear tomorrow after admitting resisting a police officer, using threatening or abusive behaviour, and possessing a blade on Union Street, Preston, on February 21.

LEYLAND: A man who committed a string of assaults in Leyland is to be sentenced at Preston Crown Court on April 26.

Lee Mahon, 29, of Freshfield Close, Bury, admits assaulting a police officer along with two men and a woman in the town.

He has been recalled to prison on licence in the meantime.

CHORLEY: Jason Montague, 22, of Ullswater Road, Chorley, admits driving without insurance, an MOT or licence and failing to stop after an accident which left a gate damaged.

He must pay a £360 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

PRESTON: A woman who stole a charity hamper worth £80 from the McDonald’s Foundation has been ordered to have drug treatment.

Yvonne Bamber, 38, of New Hall Lane, Preston, was also given 20 weeks in prison but magistrates suspended the term for 12 months after her guilty plea to the theft. She must pay £80 compensation.

PRESTON: A man who stole trainers from worshippers at a city mosque has been given a rehabilitation activity requirement.

Peter Ainsley, 46, of Fishergate Hill, Preston, admitted stealing two pairs of trainers from the Preston Muslim Culture Centre and must pay a £60 fine, Preston magistrates ruled.

PRESTON: Robert Parkinson, 68, of Connaught Road, Preston, who admits breaching a sexual offences order by deleting his internet history will be sentenced by Preston Magistrates Court on May 9.

Nicole Duke 23, of Derwent Road, Chorley, was discharged for 12 months after admitting smashing a window but must pay a £15 surcharge, £100 compensation and £85 costs.

Helen Fish, 42, of Kennett Drive, Leyland, was discharged for two years after admitting stealing £379.97 of clothes from TK Maxx but must pay a £15 surcharge.

Damian Fishwick, 41, of Scawfield Road, Chorley, must have drug treatment and is excluded from ASDA for six months after admitting stealing £10 cash, four duvets and three Easter Eggs, and must pay £86.50 compensation, a £60 surcharge and £80 costs.

Robin Beckett, 29, of Meadow Close, Coppull admits assault and possessing cocaine and must pay a £200 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs

Rachel Billington, 25, of Edmund Street, Deepdale, Preston, admits using threatening behaviour and must pay an £80 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Adam Kunowski, 35, of no fixed abode, admits stealing a bottle of port and must pay an £80 fine, £20 surcharge and £20 costs.

Joseph Sullivan, 31, of Alder Road, Ribbleton, Preston, was given a curfew after admitting stealing cans of cider and must pay £9.99 compensation.

Christopher Beere, 39, of West End Road, Morecambe, was recalled to prison for 18 months after admitting stealing two duvet covers and must pay a £40 fine and £20 surcharge.

Wieslaw Piech, 57, of New Hall Lane, Preston, was banned for 15 months and given a curfew after admitting drink driving and must pay a £60 surcharge and £85 costs.

Liam Corcoran, 28, of Denford Avenue, Leyland, was discharged for 12 months after admitting being drunk and disorderly in the Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton, and must pay a £15 surcharge and £85 costs.
