'Insure your car or lose it', warn police

Police in Chorley have warned motorists to insure their vehicles or risk losing them.

Officers tweeted that while they were out on patrol in the Coppull area on Saturday evening, they spotted a a Mercedes in what they described as 'suspicious circumstances'.

"It turned out that the driver was uninsured,"said the police spokesman.

"We reported a 25-year-old female for driving without insurance and seized the vehicle under Section 165.
