Higher Walton man kept contacting woman despite it being in breach of a court order

A man who repeated breached a non-molestation order has been ordered to take part in a relationships probation programme.

Jordan Matthews, of Bannister Hall Crescent, Higher Walton, was made the subject of the order in February this year.

But the same month the 25-year-old defendant sent a Facebook message to a woman via her mother, Preston Magistrates’ Court heard.

In March he contacted the woman by Whats App and telephone, the court was told, and in April he attended her home and also contacted her by telephone.

Prosecutors said in May he sent video messages to her, and in another incident communicated with her “via electronic means”

Matthews was given a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement by the bench, and must pay a £90 surcharge and £85 towards costs.

He was also ordered to do 60 hours of unpaid work.
