Officers have intercepted stolen cars, stopped people using phones at the wheel, and seized vehicles for a range of offences across the county.

5. Burglary
Officers intercepted a VW Polo on the M65 after it was stolen from a burglary in Bamber Bridge while the occupants were in bed alseep. Patrol cars boxed the Polo in, and an officer leapt across the bonnet of his car to make an arrest. In total, four people were arrested for burglary Photo: Lancs Police
6. Mobile phone
The driver of this van was pulled over for using a mobile phone at the wheel in Preston New Road. He was given a £200 fine and six points on his licence, plus an additional £100 fine for having an expired MOT. Photo: Lancs Police
