British Transport Police were called after a drunk man repeatedly swore at passengers at Preston railway station on Thursday evening (May 5).

The man was subsequently arrested after he went on to swear at officers while refusing to leave the station.

Officers confirmed he was charged with being drunk and disorderly on Friday (May 6) and bailed to court.

Disorderly behaviour is defined as causing a public disturbance.

This is something which the police can define at their own discretion.
