
Jose Manuel Figueira, of Latham Crescent, Tarleton, near Preston, had denied a charge of drink driving.
But he was convicted of the offence after a trial before Preston Magistrates’ Copurt.
During the case the bench heard his Vauxhall Tigra had collided with a Nissa Qashqai on Church Road in Tarleton on March 22, but he drove away from the scene.
The 46-year-old also pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to stop after an accident.

The court was told he was found to have 51mg of alcohol in his breath when he was caught, which is above the legal limit of 35mg.
He was ordered to pay a £180 fine, a £30 victim surcharge, and £310 in prosecution costs.
