Door sliced in half as Preston police carry out drugs raid in Deepdale

A man was arrested following a drugs raid in Preston which left the front door of the house sawn in half

The raid took place in the Deepdale area of the city at around 5am yesterday morning (January 30).

Preston Police they found a 'substantial' amount of money at the property and a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of money laundering.

A spokesman for Preston Police said on Twitter: "Yesterday at 5am, Preston NPT Task Force carried out another misuse of drugs act warrant in the Deepdale area.

"A 22-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering after a substantial amount of cash was found."

Preston Police was contacted for further comment.
