Police believe the third Spaniel - two-year-old Keedy - is also thought to be in the Preston area after being stolen from outside the home of his owner Keith Fetches - 130 miles away near the Yorkshire coast.

Humberside Police, who are leading the investigation, has not said why it has traced the dog's suspected whereabouts to Lancashire.

Officers say Keedy - who answers to his name - is liver and white in colour with one black paw.

His elderly owner, who lives on a farm in Thornholme between Burton Agnes and Bridlington, is said to be "very distressed and worried" about his dog's welfare.

Keedy is chipped and police believe he is somewhere in the Preston area, where officers have been conducting enquiries over the weekend.

So far, police have found no sign of him, but say he could also could be around Wigan or Manchester.

Police are appealing for anyone with information that could help recover Keedy and reunite him with his owner to get in touch.

"We believe that Keedy could possibly be in/around the areas of Manchester, Wigan or Preston.

"We have conducted enquiries in the area and had a number of lines of enquiry which have not yet led to the recovery of the third missing dog, Keedy.

"We are now appealing for anyone with any information that would lead us to reunite the remaining missing dog with their elderly owner, who is naturally very distressed and worried about them.

"If anyone has any information, no matter how small please call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 76 of 12 February 2021."
