A police manhunt is underway to find a convicted woman beater with links across Lancashire.

Aaron Whitney is wanted by police after leaving approved premises in Carlisle last Monday (November 9) and not returning.

The 22-year-old is now wanted on recall to prison having breached his licence conditions.

Whitney is believed to be in the Preston area and has links to Blackpool, Blackburn and West Yorkshire.

In March 2020, he was convicted of several assaults against a woman as well as sending threats to a man.

PC Andy Carroll, of Lancashire Police’s Offender Management Unit, said: "Whitney knows he is wanted by police and I would urge him to do the right thing and come forward immediately.

"If you know where he is or have any information please call police as soon as possible."

Whitney is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of slim build with short, fair hair.

He also has a tattoo of ‘Play Pause Rewind Etc’ on his right arm.
