Chorley woman, 46, jailed for five and a half years for drug dealing
A woman from Chorley has been jailed for five and a half years for drug dealing.
Sandra Sharrock was arrested in June last year as part of a week-long drugs crackdown operation by Chorley and South Ribble Neighbourhood Task Force.
The 46-year-old, of Hollinshead Street, Chorley, was later charged with possession of cocaine and diamorphine with intent to supply.
She appeared at Preston Crown Court on Thursday, February 4 and was sentenced to a total of five years and seven months in prison.
A police spokesman said: "In June last year we launched Operation Westhead - a week of action - to tackle drug dealing in the Chorley area.
"The result of one of the warrants led to the arrest of a local female Sandra Sharrock who was found in possession of a large quantity of Class A drugs and a large amount of cash.
"She was in the middle of "bagging up" the drugs when we hit the address.
"As a result, on February 4, 2021, 46-year-old Sharrock has been sentenced to 5 years and 7 months in prison.
"Yet again an excellent piece of work by Chorley and South Ribble Neighbourhood Task Force."
