CCTV images released of men wanted in connection with spate of ATM frauds across Lancashire
Police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to as they investigate multiple reports of fraud in East Lancashire.
It has been reported that a group of men have lingered near to ATM machines in town centres, then when someone goes to withdraw cash, they have distracted them, before the victim’s bank card appears to be retained by the ATM.

After that a lump sum of cash has been withdrawn from the victim’s bank account.
The reports have been from a number of ATMs in the area, including:
Morrisons, Pendle Street, Nelson.
Lloyd’s Bank, Peel Steet, Accrington.
Halifax, Union Street, Accrington.
Barclay’s Bank, St James’ Street, Burnley.
Lloyd’s Bank, Church Street, Blackburn.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “We'd like to speak to the men pictured - if you know them or have any information that could assist our enquiries, please get in touch with us on 101 quoting log 0610 of 8th October.
“We want to share some important information on how to protect yourselves from fraudsters.
“We’re very conscious that some of those most vulnerable to these types of scams may not see the messaging on social media, so we’re asking you to tell your loved ones and neighbours about these top tips too.
“Never share your pin code with anyone.
“Be mindful of who is around you when you use an ATM.
“If you see something suspicious, don’t use the cash machine, and report it to us straight away.
“Cover the pin pad with your hand when using a cash machine – you never know if someone could be watching you input it.”
You can report fraud by calling police on 101 or using the online form through their website.
Alternatively, you can report to ActionFraud on 0300 123 2040.
