Police have launched an investigation after a man was caught peering under a cubicle wall in the men's toilets at Preston railway station.

A man went to use public toilets just after 12pm on April 20 and while he was in the cubicle, saw a hand appear on the floor from the neighbouring cubicle, say police.

The man looked down and saw the face of a man looking into the cubicle, they added.

The victim and railway staff challenged the man who ran away via the subway and out of the station.

Investigating officer PC Neil Rawsthorne said: “I would like to speak to anyone who may have information about this incident or to anyone who was in the toilets at the time of the incident and saw someone acting suspiciously.

“This was an act of voyeurism and very concerning. Any information big or small could help.”

Anyone with any information should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 citing reference 199 of 26/04/17.
