Leyland boy, 13, assaulted by 'gang of 20 youths' in Seven Stars park
A police investigation is under way after a 13-year-old boy was assaulted by a gang of teenagers in Leyland.
The boy was reportedly surrounded by a large group of youths in Seven Stars park, off Fox Lane, yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, April 7).
He was then assaulted by two older boys who allegedly punched him in the face. The boy’s mother reported the incident to Lancashire Police and the force said an investigation is under way.
A police spokesperson said: “It was reported that at around 2.45pm on Tuesday (April 7) a boy was assaulted by a group of youths at Seven Stars park, Fox Lane, Leyland.
“It was reported that two boys from the group punched the boy, leaving him with facial injuries.
“Enquiries are ongoing.
