16-year-old boy arrested after delivery van full of parcels is stolen in Preston

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after a parcel delivery van was stolen in Preston yesterday (Thursday, December 3).

A courier had left his van's engine running whilst delivering parcels to homes in Glenview Close, Ribbleton, when an opportunistic thief leaped inside his van at around 11.40am.

The van was later recovered half-a-mile away in Village Drive with its parcels still inside the vehicle.

Lancashire Police said a 16-year-old boy from Preston has been arrested, as well as another male whose age has not been confirmed.
