16-year-old arrested after suspected heroin and cannabis found in vehicle in Blackburn

A 32-year-old driver and a 16-year-old passenger were arrested after suspected heroin and cannabis was found during a search of their vehicle.

Police received two separate calls from the public reporting a White Honda Civic dealing drugs in the Blackburn area on Monday and Tuesday this week (March 2 -3).

Officers searched the car and the occupants after stopping the vehicle on Whalley Old Road.

A small amount of suspected heroin and cannabis was found, along with phones and cash.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Thank you for reporting this vehicle.

I know we can't be everywhere and act on everything but we will try and act on the information you pass to us where we can."

Both the 32-year-old driver and the 16-year-old passenger were arrested on suspicion with intent to supply class A and B drugs.

The vehicle was also seized.
