Crews tackle outdoor fire at Goosnargh

Firefighters were called to an outdoor blaze in the countryside near Preston on Friday evening,

Four engines from Fulwood, Longridge and Preston were called to the incident in Nook Lane, Goosnargh shortly after 7pm.

A fire service spokesman said the fire involved barrels of engine oil which had spread to a small single storey shelter.

Crews extinguished it using two hose reels and were at the scene around an hour and 10 minutes.
