Congestion complaints at Broughton bypass
The lights were installed at short notice on Wednesday and work will continue for two weeks, 24-hours a day.
The work is taking place at the site of the new roundabout, where the new bypass will connect to the existing A6.

Hide AdOne motorist travelling from Garstang to Preston this afternoon said: “I set off from Garstang at 2.30pm and it took me an hour to get to the edge of Fulwood.
“The tailback was almost back to Barton. I dread to think what it will be like in the rush hour.”
Another motorist said earlier on social media; “The traffic was backing up going South at Broughton this morning by 07.15, so allow plenty of time for your journey!”
Another said: “It’s horrendous now! Must have been nearly backed up to the Sparling at 08.30. If I had not been on a motorbike I would have been seriously late!“

Hide AdHighways chiefs have urged motorists to be patient and bear with them until the long-awaited Broughton bypass is complete.
It is expect to bring a massive relief to the area, seen as a congestion blackspot.
