Concern growing for missing Rawtenstall boy who disappeared seven days ago

An urgent appeal has been launched to help find a missing 16-year-old boy who left his home seven days ago to go shopping.

Chinh Tran was last seen leaving his home address to go shopping at around 1pm on Wednesday, February 17.

Police said he has not been heard from since and they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for his welfare.

The 16-year-old is described as a Vietnamese male, 5ft 6in tall, of slim build with short black hair and a large tattoo on his right shin.

Chinh is unfamiliar with the area and "doesn't speak much English", officers added.

He was last seen wearing a black coat, grey woolly hat, tracksuit bottoms and was carrying a shopping bag.

Chinh is believed to have links to the Preston area and London.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact police by calling 101 or emailing [email protected], quoting log reference LC-20210217-1102.
