Cancelled: Summer Days Festival 2016

Organisers of Summer Days, the new boutique music and food festival that launched this year, have had to cancel the festival due to “a combination of factors”.

This year’s event was scheduled to take place at Clitheroe Castle between 6 and 9 July with headliners Simply Red, Jools Holland and Echo & The Bunnymen.

In a statement released to Clitheroe Advertiser, a spokesman for Summer Days said: “After serious consideration we are heartbroken to announce that Summer Days festival 2016 will not take place. We have looked at every angle possible to keep the event live but due to a combination of factors including rising cost and newly arisen logistical obstacles we have no choice but to call Summer Days off.
