Cleaners take to the streets in support of St Catherine's

The speedy cleaning team hiked 12 miles around the town and neighbouring villages of Ribchester and Grimsnargh for their fundraising feat.

Nine of the company’s 12 dusters took part in the challenge and joined by family and friends.

Business owner Emma Procter said: “One of our customers was diagnosed with cancer, and the dad of one of our cleaners was cared for at St Catherine’s, which is why we wanted to do something to support the charity.

“The lady we walked for sadly passed away in April, but she was thrilled to see us complete the walk.”

She added: “It was a laugh, and we went to the White Bull at Alston for a meal afterwards which was a nice way to end the walk.”

The group presented a cheque to the hospice based in Lostock Hall. The ‘fairies’ are now keen to take part in the charity’s Moonlight and Memories Walk on the night of June 4, which this year marks its’ 10th anniversary.
