Chorley Flower Show to return after blooming success
Thirteen thousand people enjoyed the displays and entertainment at the second annual Chorley Flower Show in Astley Park in July.

Hide AdChorley Council is now planning next years event, which is says will be back by ‘popular demand’.
Coun Alistair Bradley, leader of the council, said: “The response from both visitors and those exhibiting and trading at the show was overwhelmingly positive with many saying they are already coming back next year.
“We had a brilliant first show last year and to build on that success and improve it again was really important as we establish the event in the horticultural calendar.

Hide Ad“We already have a number of ideas of how we can make it even better for 2017.”
Visitors and exhibitors travelled from across the country and celebrity guests Joe Swift and Carol Klein came to give talks.
The event was a finalist in the prestigious Lancashire Tourism Awards last year andthe council hope it will do just as well this time around.

Hide Ad“Many people who live in Chorley and attended told us how proud they were that the borough was holding an event of this kind, which is what we want to achieve,” said Coun Bradley.
The show is booked for July 29-30 next year.
