Paul Dobell, 35, of Kings Lea, Adlington, was fined £80 by Chorley magistrates for damaging a car park barrier to the value of £4,458.He was also ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.The offence happened at Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Chorley on July 24 last year.

Jodie Farrington, 22, of Wellington Street, Chorley, was given a conditional discharge for six months for assault by beating.She had to pay £100 compensation and £20 victim surcharge. The offence happened in Chorley on July 10 last year.

Susan Jane Knowles, 45, of Carrington Road, Adlington, was given a community order for stealing two packets of steak, when she appeared at Chorley Magistrates’ Court. The order was given with a drugs requirement for eight months. She was also given a £10 fine and had to pay £10 compensation. The offence happened at The Co-Operative in Chorley on January 24.

Neil Clifford Kershaw, 44, of Lawnwood Avenue, Chorley, was fined £265 for driving whilst under the influence of alcohol when he appeared at Chorley Magistrates’ Court. He also had to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months and his record was endorsed. The offence happened in Pall Mall, Chorley, on February 11.

Andrew Thomas Geoffrey Richardson, 38, of St Johns Green, Leyland, was give a conditional discharge for six months for causing harassment and alarm by using threatening or abusive words or behaviour. Chorley magistrates also ordered him to pay £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. The offence happened in Chorley on February 20.
