Chorley Cheerleading Team Galaxy needs your help
Galaxy Cheerleading team have been selected as a finalist in the Cash for Kids Six Sports Challenge! We're raising money to ensure we can remain sustainable and open to all members of the community who want to get involved in Cheerleading!
These funds are vital to help us upgrade and purchase the specialist equipment required to develop our members and maintain our high standards of health and safety. With this funding, we will be able to open our doors to more local disadvantaged children, providing an opportunity to increase their physical activity levels in a fun way, to improve their mental wellbeing and confidence by challenging themselves and feeling that sense of accomplishment, to feel a real connection, part of a community and team, recruit and train volunteers, and remain a positive influence in the local community.
The money will support 180+ current members, which continues to grow! Along with our 20 volunteers, who enable us to offer sessions every night of the week, and you will also be contributing to support the team to compete across the country.
All the money we raise we'll keep, plus we could win up to an extra £5,000 if we're the top fundraisers in the Lancashire Challenge group!
As a team we are looking to hold several events over the next few weeks including a fundraising day at Chorley FC on the 12th October, and a fundraising evening at a local venue with some amazing raffle prizes donated by local businesses
