Mark Smith, who lives in Chorley and owns Bolton-based Plastic Treatments Ltd is celebrating its seventh anniversary by launching a new community initiative offering £1,000 worth of specialist metal coating services to a local project.

The company is inviting schools, charities, and community groups to nominate projects that would benefit from restoring or protecting metal structures such as railings, gates, benches, and other public infrastructure.
With many community organisations facing tight budgets, the initiative aims to help improve shared spaces by extending the lifespan and safety of essential metal features.]
Mark said: “Reaching our seventh anniversary is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of, and it felt important to mark it by giving something back.
“Our work is all about protecting and extending the life of metal structures, so this project is a great opportunity to use those skills to make a real difference in a local community space.”
Organisations can submit a nomination through Plastic Treatment’s online form on their website providing details about the project, the metalwork involved, and the benefits it would bring to the local community.
Submissions will be reviewed by the Plastic Treatment team, with the selected project receiving professional coating services delivered by the company.
