10 fire crews were called to a fire at Central Pier just after 3am this morning.
The Promenade has since been reopened to traffic.
A workshop and two rides were severely damaged in the fire, and the floor of the pier was also damaged.
An investigation is set to be carried out by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service to determine the cause.

Fortunately the sea was at low tide as crews battled the blaze from the beach.
