Car and occupants rescued from flood water in Hornby

Two fire engines from Carnforth and Hornby helped rescue occupants from a car trapped in flood water on the River Lune at Hornby on Saturday evening.

Two casualties were rescued by fire service crews wearing flood suits and the car was removed by the fire crews with help from a local farmer.

Crews were detained for 40 minutes.
