Burst water main could close Lancashire road for days
A burst water main could see Whittingham Lane in Goosnargh closed for several days.
The road is closed between Church Lane and partially Cumeragh Lane after police attended the incident at 2.10pm yesterday.
Cars are asked to go down the open section of Cumeragh Lane and Brabiner Lane to avoid delays.
Lancashire Police tweeted that the road may be closed for several days following the incident.
United Utilities turned off the water soon after the pipe burst and have now set about working on the break to fix it as soon as possible.
The burst has raised the tarmac in the road as well as covering it in water.
