Burnley nightclub ordered to close for three months after anti-social behaviour reports
A Burnley nightclub has been ordered to close for three months following repeated reports of serious anti-social behaviour.
Magistrates granted a closure order against Proj3kt Nightclub on Hammerton Street on Monday, December 22, under Section 80 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Police Act 2014.
The order was made after police raised concerns about ongoing disorder and anti-social behaviour linked to the premises.

A full closure is now in force until March 22, 2026.
Lancashire Police said the action followed months of work with partner agencies aimed at preventing further incidents and protecting the local community.
Sergeant Stephen Dundon, from the East Licensing Team, said: “This closure order comes after months of hard work alongside our partners to try and prevent this behaviour and to protect our local community.
“I hope that this positive result sends out a clear message that we will take action against those premises that are persistently linked to anti-social behaviour and disorder.”
Police said the enforcement action forms part of Operation NightSafe, which focuses on tackling crime and anti-social behaviour linked to the night-time economy.
The operation also aims to create safer spaces by maintaining a visible police presence and working with support services to help anyone who may be vulnerable during a night out.
Residents are urged to report any incidents of anti-social behaviour to police.
In an emergency, people should call 999.
Non-emergency reports can be made online via the Lancashire Police website.
