The 34-year-old former Garstang High School pupil is a father of three and his wife Kate is a teacher at St Wilfred’s junior school in Longridge.

Although a newcomer to Garstang’s shop sector he has run his business online from above Dewhurst’s estate agency for a number of years.

He said: “I’m new to the high street, but not new to business. I’ve been a sole trader since I was 18. We’ve been in Garstang for about three years or so. I’ve been local most of my life. I like Garstang.”

Printmob, which specialises in printing garments and promotional items as well as other print services, moved to the new premises, formerly Mum’s The Word, at the end of September.

He added: “It’s important for the businesses of Garstang to have one voice.

“We can all get together to come up with new ideas and new ways to promote the businesses in Garstang.”

He urged other businesses: “It’s really important to be part of it – get your comments heard as well and maybe you can change the way things are done.”
