Body found in search for missing mum-of-eight Debra Cull

The body of missing mum-of-eight Debra Cull has been discovered a week after she disappeared, say police.

The 55-year-old's body was discovered on Friday (September 11) following an extensive police search.

Mrs Cull, who had lived for a time in the Fylde and has family in Preston, was last seen in the Brinnington area of Stockport on the morning of Friday, September 4.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) issued an urgent missing person's appeal last week and her family shared an emotional plea for their mum to return home.

But on Friday, police confirmed that a body had been found.

GMP said her family had been informed and a file of evidence has been passed to a coroner ahead of an inquest.

The force said there are no suspicious circumstances regarding her death.

A police spokesman said: "Officers searching for missing Debra Cull have sadly found a body.

"Her next-of-kin have been informed.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and a file has been passed to the coroner."
