Blaze involving two cars and garage battled by firefighters in Buckshaw Village

Three fire engines tackled a large blaze involving two cars and a domestic garage in Buckshaw Village today (March 10).

Fire crews from Bamber Bridge, Chorley and Leyland were called to the scene in Old Worden Avenue at around 1.50pm.

Crews discovered the fire had spread from two vehicles to the garage of a domestic property upon arrival.

Firefighters equipped with two breathing apparatus used two hose reels to douse the flames.

No casualties have been reported by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.

Crews remained at the scene for almost two hours.
