Blackpool road closed after 'bus' collision

Part of a busy Blackpool road was closed today after a road traffic collision.

Warbreck Drive, Bispham, was closed both ways from Bispham United Reformed Church to Sainsbury's on Red Bank Road.

The closure was affecting traffic between Blackpool and Fleetwood and diversions were in operation.

One report said a bus was involved in the colllision.

Blackpool Transport said: "Due to an accident we are currently diverting service 3 via Devonshire road, Northgate and Cavendish road and service 4 via Red Bank road, Promenade and Cavendish Road.

"This is due to an accident. Many apologies."

The road reopened shortly before noon
